I'm lookin for a laptop. Somethin cheap but still works pretty well so when I go back to school. Also it'll help me start punching again ;P
I'm going to school for graphic design so it needs to be able to handle graphics well. I'm short on cash and still need money for school so if any of you know of cheap but good laptops available plz post info. Thnx ✌ now I'm off to work 😒 ugh lol

kinda the same thing and one of the professors says for her class it's manatory to have a mac notebook or whatever the hell it's called.... Which is stupid to me cuz if we're just going to be using photoshop in that class (or that's what she told me) then I can easily use another laptop (she's not an artist at heart so already she annoys me lol she's a math professor doing that class just for the money) -.- so I'm going to look for a different professor anyways I forgot all the names of the proggrams I might need but I know so far Photoshop is a must (I have the disk so no worries about that) just need a laptop that won't crash on me or go slow.

They want you to use macs because that's what design firms use. Same with PS instead of GIMP. You'll be better prepared for the job market and it's a competitive market.

Actuly we toured 25 print places in sc an 2 of them had macs the rest had pc's

it's introduction to graphic design. I've taken my design class already now I have to do this one in order to be able to use any other programs

that's another thing I have the best idea ever for an app but I need something that can not only make them but withstand the graphics. I'm good with computer graphics and all but I want to continue school to learn more and possibly get a great job (after making the app of course) 😉

O we use it all at the same time pretty much but if u get the money come to one of the schools in sc we have 2 top 10 graphics schools in the country an the one I'm at is a great one an they are really helpful at helping u learn

Macs have nice laptops. I have a rule of thumb here. Laptop = Mac
Desktop = Windows

Just because they look good doesnt mean there good.
the only problem with macs is...
you have a standard RAM which cant be increased.
and also with windows you can modify all you want. and there easily fixed with macs it has too go too apple :/.
i honestly prefer windows because there better for me and i do the odd graphic design.

I've opened up my Mac laptop before. You buy it cheap and go online to buy ram (I know my website 😉) and upgrade for crazy cheap. 8 gigs ram for 48 dollars. Open up the Mac and its easy as can be. I like the macs because they don't heat up as much, stay as loud, and are cleaner. In my experience, they last longer as laptops. Any other laptop is all bulky and just shit to me. I love pc desktops though! All the way for that. But a laptop is better as a Mac from how long the last and the nice quality.

I suggest looking on tigerdirect.com or newegg.com for some crazy deals on good laptops. Especially with there clearance holiday deals in a couple days.

If its for graphics, then it has to be an apple. I do some graphics at work on a windows 7 computer and it's painful how slow it can be at times(it has loads of ram). I have the exact same programs on a mac at home and it's soo much easier.

The only way you can make a iPhone app is through Mac tho so
