Not always true. Look at Harry potter. Chronicles of narnia. Scrooge. Oliver twist. Many more...Movies ruin books.

Yea it was a good series but as good as everyone says it to be. By 1/3 of Mockingjay through it got boring. The "Gone Series" is much better on my opinion.

Just finished the Hunger Games Trilogy. Loved them.
Highly recommended even though it's young adult fiction. Excellent.
Can't wait for the movie. Trailer looks well done so fingers crossed that it's a good implementation.
You can't always assume a movie or tv portrayal will ruin something though it often does.
Look at Bladerunner. Look at Game of Thrones. Lord of the Rings. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo foreign film trilogy. All simply excellent.
Some books actuly improve on screen, like True Blood, though that is quite rare.

The books deal with the themes of war and the costs of war. The enormous costs to innocents. War is a violent subject. Those are some violence filled books.
