There are only a few people here I actually consider friends. They know who they are. I no longer use the term as casually as I once did. I'm over being burned by people that I once thought were friends. For people I might have loosely called friends before, I now call "friendlies," for lack of a better term. Friendlies may or may not be allies, but they aren't enemies or jerks (as far as I know). There are a few other terms too, like acquaintances, etc.

I have close friends. I wouldn't want to have to pick any of the current generation of my friends as being best or better than the others. You guys know who you are.
