New turfwars temp codes
Forums › General Discussion › New turfwars temp codes-
Ok I was punching in the temp codes to try and get myself current when I decided to hit the refresh button to see if any new ones came up. Mind you that I have them sorted by expiration date so anything at the top are about to expire and I was about 3/4 done down the page so far. After refreshing to my amazement I had a whole bunch of codes near the top again. I thought this had to be wrong cause I was caught up till the codes that expired late tomorrow. Sure enough though these "new" codes were going to expire in less than 15 minutes and had been "created" just a few minutes prior. So does this mean that TWDB got these codes late or just forgot to enter them onto the website? I don't usually punch during the day so I'm wondering how many other temps I've missed recently 😳

Yeah that happens. When I get home in the afternoon I'm usually punching then and I'll see codes just about to expire.

I also punch temps from turfwarsdb. I punched all that were up yesterday, I was current from previous day. Seems I had a few scattered "already expired", but didn't notice what you saw.

I'm just wondering how temps that will be expiring in say 20-30 minutes can be posted. I thought that temps were good for like a week? How come TWDB didn't already have access to these codes? I thought that nick sent temps directly to the websites? Something's amiss here
-
I thought Nick didn't release all temps because they contain proprietary info on how many people joined. Something like that.... I may be wrong.

Releasing codes that have already expired seems pretty assanine to me. Why is the knowledge of how many players joined and at what time so sacred and why does nick forbid that knowledge to get out. I'm not seeing the point in this.

I agree Mosh, my issue with it has always been that people (the temp owners more than us punching fools) are getting screwed out of mob by this random system. Make it random for 4-5 days from sign up but releasing them so they have 2-3 days on the list is not too much to ask. Giving players 45 minutes of exposure totally defeats the point of releasing temps to begin with.

I think all temp codes should have 7 days from the release date.
That would be equally fair for them all.
