Ever lose time?
Forums › General Discussion › Ever lose time?-
Sometimes I experience missing time. For example, I was just laying in bed punching codes. Then I opened my eyes, and I was drawing in my sketch book. I have ink all over my hands from my illustration markers now, and I was suddenly holding a marker when I... for lack of a better way to explain it, "came back". Also I was drawing in the dark, with only my TV light on. Based on what I was watching on TV, 25 mins or so had passed, since Dexter had ended. This kinda thing happens every so often to me, but isn't always like this. But it's hard to explain. Sometimes I come back still in the middle of a thought, and don't know why, or what led me to thinking about it. Does anyone experience this sort of thing? Or any thing else kinda like this?

I lost a watch once...

I remember lying in bed looking out my window, then blinking and it was morning once. Didn't even feel like I got any sleep 😢

I get that two, just sort of come back and think, woah I don't remember getting hereHas happened to me a few times. The most frightening have been while driving. I have about a 45 minute commute each way daily, and have lost 15-20 minutes on several occasions. Obviously, I'm still alert and able to drive, but it scared the hell out of me when I realized time was 'missing'.

It could be absence seizure. According to Tabers: Seizure in which there is a sudden, brief lapse of consciousness, usually for about 2 to 10 sec. The patient (typically a child) shows a blank facial expression that may be accompanied by movements such as repeated eye-blinking or rolling or lip-smacking and minor myoclonus of the upper extremities or neck. There is no convulsion or fall. The patient resumes activity as if the seizure had not occurred. The seizure may be induced by voluntary hyperventilation for 2 to 3 min. This type of attack is characteristic of petit mal epilepsy and may recur repeatedly if it is not recognized and treated. It also may progress to a generalized tonic-clonic seizure.

No drugs. I also have had this happen for most my life, and I'm sure someone would have noticed over 25 years if I was having epileptic episodes randomly. And I can't prove it's not bullshit, but I'm not trying. I'm just curious.

As we get older, time seems faster because of perception. It seems to go by faster because the more time that passes in our lives the more we expirence time going by. The more we experience it the faster it seems to go, because we have had the prior experience of experiencing time. It's like the more we do something the easier it seems to us to do that certin task. The more expireance we have under our belt, in expireancing time if you will. It does not seem so new to us the more we expireance it, is another way to look at it.

A friend left my house few months ago and woke up the next morning with BK drink on his night stand. Not only did he not remember stopping there, getting the food and eating, he didn't remember dropping another friend off at home before he picked up the junk food. When he went outside after waking up his truck was covered in mud too. The moral of the story is don't drink n drive. I don't drink, eat junk food and wasn't home for that party. I just thought it was a funny story and nobody got hurt.

There is a theory when people experience that they were supposedly abducted by aliens and that's why there is missing time, but that's just a theory of course.

Happened to me once too. They put me on viral morphine. Kinda blinked and a whole 3 months went by. Rather funny, in a way.
