I just jail broke my phone
Iphone4 GSM.
And yes it does take away the GPS ability.
i used sn0wbreeze as im 5.0.1 and it took away my GPS but i could still look ay my current turf and plant turf.
also before anybody on 5.0.1 decides too jailbreak. Dont. the jailbreak is tethered(requires booting) and is annoying. one of the designers working on an un-tethered JB has left the JBing scene and now works for apple as a programmer(how convenient) so it will be a few weeks before its out (:

In the beginning I thought you said you broke your phone and lost gps but could still see your turfs. It didn't make sence n I reread it haha that's when I saw JAIL broke instead of just just broke (like if you accidently entered it twice or if I just read it twice)
