  Politically there are 7 continents but physically there are 6 since the link between Europe and Asia is SO large unlike the one between North America and South America which is small.

  Well Africa is attatched to asia and north and south America are linked and australia is an Island so I say there are only euroasifrica and Americas.... Maybe Antarctica.

  Ill say seven because eurasia is a space between europe and asia, mainly turkey and surrounding. These countries are not in europa or asia and i suppose it was coined in the ottoman empire... Im not sure but i'd put it as a line drawn from russia to egypt region... Any idea's?

  Europe really isn't a "continent" it's more of a wannabe. And Australia is really just a big island. If Australia is a continent then so is greenland. So you either have 7 or 5.
