Help me out! I wanna know becuz of the 4.0 update
-
Apple has a page for this on their support site.
And whats up with the 4.0 update? Its seems everyone but me has heard about it. What devices does it apply to??
-
I think all devices will get the update, only the latest generation iPod touch and the iPhone 3Gs get multitasking.

1. When did you buy it?
2. Is it an 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, or 64 GB?
-
Yeah I think it's only the iPhone 3gs and iPod touch 3rd gen 32&64 gig versions. Sadly, I don't think the 8gig 3rd gen has the multitasking update(which is of course the one I bought.)

16GB = 2G
32GB = Could be either one
64GB = 3G -
But the go into settings and chose general. Go to about and then look at the code the has ether a m(a,b,or c) in the begining. A Is first gen, b is second gen, and c is third. Although as I said earlyer, the 8 gig model that came out in late 2009 is still in hardware terms, a 2nd gen but has an mc code.

Put it in the toilet. If it floats, it's a 3rd gen. If it sinks, you need to buy a 3rd gen. You are welcome.
