What makes a successful TURFWARS player?
Forums › General Discussion › What makes a successful TURFWARS player?-
I ask this because
-there are a lot of new players
-I am curious myselfThere is a wealth of information in the help forum and the wiki on how to play this game. But we still have a lot of noobs who play the game, but perhaps don't want to go through all that info in one go before even playing the game. Perhaps if we had a short bullet pointed guide that new players could read, then go and read more in depth at the articles that mystery and brown note and others have written as they get to love the game as much as more mature/established players do.
-
I don't want anyone to think that this would be a replacement or slap in the face to people who have contributed their time to the help articles. I have been just reading a lot of the same stuff from noobs and perhaps from their perspective they just want to play the game, not read a whole lot of info before they even start. They really should read it but perhaps some short sharp tips to get them going, get them hooked then in time read all the info.

Codes don't per se make a successful player. With range being what it is the biggest mob doesn't always win. I teach my trainees that 3 things are most important. In order of importance they are: determination and will to succeed. Friends and allies( also important because this where the real fun o the game is) and last but not least game system knowledge

Codes codes codes if you don't have them pray you know someone who does,

A good player is a player that can adapt.
As for new players, a good noob learns the game, asks questions and actually listens to the answers

Patience is what I'm learning -tho a bit late. Even tho I read mob up, don't level up a hundred times - it was boring just punching codes wo fighting or doing missions. Now at lvl 14, I will I could go back to lvl 5 and just get more prepped.

Ok b without doing everything but answer my question, how do you propose a 6k mobster caps H@VOC without the help o someone who has punched codes.

Lots of free time and no life to put in 10 bazillion codes

Range bleh hardly creative either. That was last years news.

I've been playing off and on for a little while now yet consider myself to be very noob (newb?) I never really bothered with the forums much I liked the thought of just laying some turf in my home town and not really expanding. Not much code punching at all, all those temp codes hurt my eyes lol. I went off it for a few months, came back recently and spent more time in the forums getting a proper feel of things. Best thing I ever did was take advice from a bigger player though... Marc gave me tons of tips and looked out for me at the start. I should have listend more and maybe I'd have a slightly bigger mob by now 😃 the only thing I would suggest is - find a big buddy when you start playing!! 😃✌

Depends on what you count as success.
Some people. Having turf that people don't cap out of respect. Others being on a leader board. Others mobbing. Others friends.
Very open ended question. So anything can make you successful if people view it that way -
Actually... Who is this Sess and why do I have to suck him? 😳

Mob, turf, rep are the three things that make up a successful player, which one out of the three is most important? Well that depends on how you wish to play, I came into the game playing the honourable and friendly card= rep. I still play that card because it's who I am in RL too, some people may play rep but wish to be feared, some play the biggest mob game or highest influence, if you have succeeded in your playing style or atleast respected for it. Then you are a successful player
