So far the 2 major things are multitasking (multiple features), wallpapers, & folders.

They did the boring enterprise stuff.

The iDevices are getting an Apple version of Xbox Live/PSN with achievements, leaderboards, matchmaking, etc.

Now they're talking about iAds.

Wow now they want to say that only the iPhone 3GS and 3G iPod touch can do multitasking. The iPhone 3G & 2G iPod touch will "run many things".

It looks like 2G iPhones & 1G iPod touches will be left out of this one altogether.

F*** and I bought a 3rd gen 8 gig which is really a 2nd gen. Crap I love many things about apple but sometimes I just wish apple was like other companies. Actually pleasing 7/10ths of the market there releasing iPhone os 4 to. And they get more cash from people upgrading. Hating apple right now.

Its only out for devlopers now and is supposed to be out for iPhone this summer. IPad in fall.

Some of the biggest news is the new developer agreement banning apps converted from Flash. Adobe was going to release that support in the next couple weeks.

As a web developer I hope Flash dies a quick and painful death. once there's more support for HTML5 (adds audio and video without needing Flash, plus more goodies) there won't be any need to download bloated Flash files just to play a video.

Can't you use a flash server? I'm starting a web dev job but as a designer, so this is useful info for me. Html5 huh?

I don't know the first thing about web design or programing and i can tell that I'm glad that flash is not having it's way with the mobile web.

Flash seem to somehow screw everything up on every different computer and browser combo I've tried.

You don't need a special server to serve up flash objects - the Flash Server is more for if you want to stream audio or video (it costs $$$$$$).

If you're starting off as a designer/engineer you definitely want to learn HTML5 - it'll give you a nice leg up in terms of landing jobs & good pay. It's still early on but we'll be seeing a lot of it in the coming years, whether Flash dies or not.

the sooner flash gets replaced with something more secure and efficient, the better. Good ridance!

HTML5 is behind schedule and the W3 expects it won't be until 2012 that that it reaches reccomendation stage. Though of course, some parts have been completed and are working in some browsers.

Either way, if you plan on learning it you've got time.

According to apple the original iphone 2G is a 1st generation and the iphone 3G is a 2nd generation so that would make the iphone 3GS a 3rd generation. So all in all my question is will the iphone 3g ( 2nd generation get the 4.0 firmware update or only the 3GS
