It's bad enough the Angels got Pujols. Luckily the NBA vetoed the deal. But the Lakers are still in the forefront to get Dwight Howard. Maybe my Knicks or Warriors will get CP3 now?

The commish vetoed the deal, but Paul is already looking into hiring a lawyer and suing the NBA for messing up the deal. Already stated he's not reporting to his team. So my Laker haters keep on hating cause if he does and wins the deal will go thru.

This is why the NBA sucks. Stars only want to play together for 6 teams. Might as well contract the other 20 teams

The Hornets are owned by the NBA, and other NBA owners did not want the deal to go through. So Stern nixed the deal. Part of the new collective bargaining agreement is meant to allow small market teams - ie. New Orleans - to remain competetive without large market teams signing away all the stars (ie. Miami and L.A.). Paul can sue, but if the Hornets owners, the NBA's other owners, don't want CP3 in L.A., then it seems legal.

It is legal but here's the thing. If he has to stay, his contract is up after this season. So instead of them getting a awesome deal for him (4 players) he will just sign with a new team next season, and the hornets will have had NOTHING. The commish is a idiot

With the league owning some of the teams, it only supports the theory that professional sports are rigged. I don't agree that it is, but this kinda stuff just fuels that fire

I'v been playing b-ball my whole life. I love the game of basketball but the NBA freaking sux!!! Period!!! College hoops is MUCH better IMO. But once the college kids get that $$$ in the NBA, most of them suck as well. Bunch of lazy millionaires who r more concerned w/ endorsements than playing ball. But playing ball is what they'r hired for. I wish they woulda stayed locked out. I'd rather watch 20/20 while reading a boring book...no wonder MJ scored a zillion points back in the day...no one ever played defense against him!
