Last years runner up already crashed out of this years champions league after a 2-1 loss to Basel. I think this might be sir Alex fergusons last year of coaching man u, especially if they don't win the league either.

Out of the champions league and 5 points behind city in the league. I think it's possible that they might get rid of ferguson if anything else goes wrong.

This is one season - a transition season, this ain't the first and won't be the last time united have a dodgy season. All part of the cycle. What is important is that when united have a bad season it's either arsenal, or Chelsea, or now city who romp on and win the league.... But united always bounce back. Young players will learn alot this season.

They never won the league or the champions league a few years back and he is still there the man has a stand named in his honour they will raise a statue of him giggs and scholes probley this is one season with a young squad all this will do is make a.f go out and buy that's all

I think the tide is turning city's way now. Even though they are in the Europa league this year, I believe they will win the europa league and also the premier league and then in a few years, them and psg will be winning just about every trophy possible and leaving traditional clubs in the dust.

It's highly unlikely they can ever physically remove sir Alex because of his status... Watching them last night showed the voids in Utd's team.... At the very least they need 2 world class central midfielders and I'm sorry De Gea is not upto the job... Too young and inexperienced to fill Van Der Sars boots.

I'm a Liverpool fan and I'm enjoying Man United not having everything their own way. However Alex Ferguson has had tough seasons before and shown repeatedly that he is probably the best manager ever. He won't be sacked.

You give fergie 500 mil to spend and we shall see who wins the league.....
Chelsea did it with money (granted I think mourinho is top class), now city are doing the same.
These clubs only have to spend insane amounts of money because they have always been chasing the red devils.

If Utd spent say £60 mil in Jan they should bring in Snejder and Rodwell... Again, what Jimmy said, it would end up being a transition year, but with the youngsters they'd have would be a major force for years to come.
