whole foods

growing up in NYC where we had loads of independent health food stores, I always had a problem with a natural foods mall of sorts. like the walmart of informed eating.
but now that I'm put of the city, where else can I get a gorgeous bunch of upland cress, fuji apples, marinated mushrooms, speck Americana, and locally produced sorbetto? all of excellent quality.

Yeah Whole Foods is the next best thing to a farmer's market/local grocery. Their fruits and veggies are always fresh and they've got some of the best damn bacon money can buy. Also, Belgian beers FTW.
Downside: their seafood. it's expensive and not so great. Also $60 bags of groceries FTL.

I love whole foods. Hate their prices. If I sell my body more often I can shop there regularly.

awww. Poor non Europeans. We get Belgian beers in our supermarkets and from what I've heard American beer is crappy. And the best bacon ever comes from a farm butcher near my house. It's cured in beer and molasses. Omnomnom.Yeah Whole Foods is the next best thing to a farmer's market/local grocery. I should have stock in whole foods. Where I live, I find that WF is cheaper than the area key food. Apparently this is bc KF is more east (closer to the PJs) so prices are inflated bc of food stamp use.
Ever since i started shopping exclusively at WF as opposed to reg supermarkets the quality of my cooking has risen a ton.

I like Whole Foods, too bad there's none around here (only Key Food 😖 & Associated 😱). Stop & Shop is good, I've also heard good about Trader Joe's.
