This update will prevent that, depending on the overall # of turfs that player has. So small-medium sized players can still do this, big ones can't. If you can capture over your turf limit, you're big enough to defend your turf.

I'm medium to large; not sure your definition.
But after Krull made a turf near me I can't build anything notable or it will be taken. My only option is to leave town, make new turfs, and hope no one turf hops up to me.
Between that and getting beaten up by Jenjar and his damn mule account Sinjin I'm not feeling like I've got a way to grow

People a warning. Someon with 88 turf has a estimated min inf radius of a 58 inf turf . Prob margin or error or 3-4 inf.

I think 80 turf is at least 48 inf but less than 54. Standard I might have the wrong end of the stick warning applies

I definitely agree that this will make the game more interesting. However, I also definitely think that for in-game changes that can potentially have a huge impact on some players...that more notice should be given to allow players to adjust to the change before it's implemented. 24 hours notice would have been nice.

Ok so I don't understand will I have a bigger capture area because I have 800 turfs and won't this make it easier for bigger people to capture turf off smaller people with lower influence turfs

Only a tiny percentage of players' turf will end up with a bigger capture area than an 84 influence turf. It's not added to your turf, it's a minimum value. Even then it won't be much bigger, since the minimum levels off at higher levels of turf.

So how meny times do you have to hit a turf at 1inf to capture I just hit a turf twice and didn't capture it

Recently an exploit has been found that allows players to avoid turf capture by selling a turf's upgrades and its influence to 1. Originally intended as a defense mechanism for small players, several larger players have used it to evade capture of their turf. This is detrimental to game balance as it lets players go on the offensive and then quickly reduce influence to render their gains uncaptureable.Starting at 2pm PDT today, a modified system will be put into place to prevent this from happening. All turf's capture radii will be given a minimum value based on the total # turf owned by their current owner. This means medium-large players' turf can still be captured by players with nearby turf, even if the influence is reduced to 1.
