👆bang on fella! 100% increase in 3 years......shocking,granted its a group 20 car but I like a fast car,can see why people don't take insurance out
Here's your apple 🍎 enjoy 😊

U searched about? I got a civic type R.group 17 and insurance renewal came at just over 1k.checked confused.com and couldn't beat it but went to aviva and got it for £670
-
I've got 3 points, but no claims
For 8 years and a bloody focus (not an st)and mine is about half that. Even shopping around. -
That's with shopping around, all due to a Bradford post code.told if I lived anywhere else it would be half that, some insurers wouldn't even cover me!
-
Don't talk to me about post codes! I have a 1996 Passat TDI run around. Third party, fire and theft, how much? I'm 22 with four years no claims and no convictions.
-
Which post code?im guessing 1500 quid
-
In bradford its because all the people doing false claims etc... The local mp's are trying too get insurance companies too lower it because a new driver in bd got quoted 26k a year haha
-
I live in northern Ireland. £2000+!
-
Six months before that, I had a VTS Saxo and that was £1400, TPFT.
-
It's actually cheaper to be untaxed and uninsured. Especially if you have claims and points and a less than perfect legal history
-
I had my M5 insured at my parents house in Cross Hills (BD20) postcode and it was £2600
A year later and after moving to Berkshire it went down to £1450.For a cut I'll let you use my address! Sunningdale is possibly the safest place in the UK 😃😃😃

Lovely car but just too big for what I need it for so can't justify the running costs. Paying £600 a tire is not fun! -
But yes, insurance is a complete joke right now.... We need to adopt the 'insure the person, not the car'... Think that's how they do it in the US
-
I think the wife and I pay close to $100 a month for a 2006 jetta and a 2008 patriot!
-
Nope we insure the car here in the US, although your policy will cover you in certain situations, like renting a car sometimes. BTW need to find you a car that's fast and is a 'family' car. I've got a dodge magnum, it runs the same engine as a charger or challenger, but because it's a station wagon it runs at a lower insurance rate.
-
South africa has best car insurance policy. If you use fuel (as you will do) that is subsidised so part of that covers you for a third party claim. You can buy optional fully comp on top but that isn't compulsory. So in effect it's pay as you go insurance.
-
Also being 'old' helps. Pug 106, rally spec - 1600cc, turbo, full engine overhaul, body kit, roll cage - the full works. All declared, fully comp £350 inc commuting. Not saying how old I am but I'm not a teenager any more 😄
-
Give you £2000 for your car ^
-
Being old means nothing if you live in a high insurance claim post code, nearly 2 grand to cover a car that's valued at £3500....that's rediculous, yes I'm a fool to pay it but I like a fast toy, shame it has to be that way
-
At least your car is more than your insurance. I bought my passat for £600! Currently paying 1000 euro.
-
And still not fully comp.
