Personally I think it's all crap. Big money making scheme. First it was global warming but now ts climate change.
Lesson number 1: the sun is getting hotter.
Lesson number 2: the earth gets hotter as a result.
Lesson number 3: when the sun blows up we are going with it! -

New York was under a glacier very recently. You can't stop change. Change happens naturally, and much more drastic changes than are happening now. This is the most moderate period in Earth's entire history. It has been cool and stable now for much longer than normal. You have such a geologically narrow view. Don't you want the Earth to be green?
But, you are right... New York has been losing 5 blocks a year since the industrial revolution started. Damn you thickening ice sheets!
You knew that, right? Global warming actually creates more precipitation, meaning more ice and snow on the caps. So much for flooding the coasts.

First, the fact that I'm an Atheist proves that you are full of bullshit assumptions. Second, I have not heard any rebuttal from you stating that water vapor is not the primary gas for heat insulation in our atmosphere.Fossil fuels come from raining CO2?? Damn! Finally, the ozone hole is bigger than ever. Why do you think we fixed it? Oh, yeah.. The alarmists forgot about it. Same thing with the rain forrests. Someday they will forget about Co2 as well, since it's such a tiny contributor to trapping heat.

I'm reading this thread and would like to thank the over-whelming anti-global warming position. I feel a lot less guilt for anything my generation may have done, the response we have made towards it, and what your generation will be dealing with in the aftermath. I am now going outside to burn a leaf.

don't bother. LoL. Only in this country is the education standard sliding as the people become increasingly stubborn, holding on to what the read on conservapedia over studies that have taken thousands of scientists their entire lifetime to conclude. I'm moving.

PSI: Government is by definition contrary to freedom. Smaller is is better as long as core functions are being performed. The fact that we have the best tax structure of any other "1st world" country, if that's true, is no reason to make it worse to match them.
