Hi!

I'm about to purchase a mates 3GS so I can let one of my kids have it as a gift.

The phone is currently on a monthly contract with Vodafone. Is there a way to unlock it to be sim free and is it easy to do?

It's currently running IOS5 if that's any help.....

Alot of places online can unlock iPhones. You get a code which will unlock the phone. I did this with my phone and the only problem is you can update it or it locks.

Those dodgy phone shops and market stalls will do it for £20.

Some places I asked wanted to take the device away and return it the next day. Yeah right
