Oh oh! I played a little bit of it but I mainly played the just "tie fighter" one. That was for one of the best games I've ever played! For me they could just keep the game exactly the same but just update graphics!

Tie fighter- equipped with two laser blasters. Limited range. High maneuverability, acceleration, and speed. Light shielding.

X-Wing- while somewhat outdated, it was capable of light speed travel. For weaponry it was equipped with four plasma blaster, as well as ballistic guided missle capabilities. It also had two flight modes. Fighter combat mode for greater manuverability and weapon targeting functionality, and secondly flight mode, for greater speed yet the inability to fire weapons.

Based on my paragraph sizes alone, the X-Wing is superior than it's mass produced Empirial counterpart.
