Holidays are fast approaching and I've been thinking about what to buy my kids. I really want to get them the new Nerf guns (even though they are way too young) because I really want them. Is there anything else that parents are all to happy to buy their kids so they can "play" too?

I still spend christmas's with my parents and my dad and i's only request is to get something to play with.... Last year it was a remote control helicopter, year before that a robosapien (mum thought they were new). This yeah I'm a remote control boat as we will be at the lake over Xmas 😃😃

Why is it that the remote control helicopters work great in shopping centres but not so much indoors or if big enough outdoors?

A remote control heli would be good but get an I destructible one lol I heard they are hard to fly

I brought myself one as a pre-Christmas gift last year. It broke in about half an hour after I kept crashing it into things and loosing bits from it.

And Kriss, I know exactly what you mean... Helicopter being demoed = amazing.... Helicopters being used in living room = fail

My recommendation is to get two heli's one to learn to fly then the other for parts....my second one helped out a lot 😉

The nerf dart guns are totally worth it. I'm speaking as a willing participant/victim/whatever. Everyone got one last year. It was great!!

Video games are always fun to buy for the kids! Sometimes I end up playing them more than the kiddos.

Helicopters are only hard to fly because few people dont know too put the weights on the side and front, sometimes there silver (:

AirHogs makes a pretty inexpensive helicopter that has a camera on it-- my son got it last yr for Xmas. You can fly it around and it records for about 30 seconds --easy to download it and watch it. He and his pals have flown it a lot -- still works.

Omg! When I was little, Hot Wheels were a hot item. Yes, that tells my age😏. I would get the present but it would take my Dad FOREVER before he would let me play with them!! Had the power house, mountain set and other stuff. Dad would say he had to test it first to make sure everything was working ok😝. This involved NUMEROUS test runs!! 😜
