Military life is tough life. Unless you have crazy awesome genetics that make you invincible there is no way your not going to come out with something wrong. I'm 32 and worse off than my 54 year old uncle. Dallas MEPS denied my reenlistment.

I was out last night and got another opportunity to pay for a young service member's, and his family, dinner. The look of shock on their faces still makes me smile.
On a side note the national parks, at least in the DC area, are free this weekend. ✊

Right one on brother! I always go out of the way to help a vet. When I see them rocking their campaign caps or ship hats, I shake the hand and thank em. What have I done for my country?
Not nearly enough.
-
I gave the police something to do and the papers something to write about once upon a time. Does that count?

I'm almost in the Australian Army, signed up two years ago but decided to wait. Figured a few months ago it was time to enlist for real. Now I've passed a couple of tests and on the 7th of June, I have my Psych and Medical tests and an official interview. After that, it's pretty much bye-bye TW, hello boot camp.
Wish me luck, people. ✌

DICK!I have constantly criticized my entire country, I've also criticized everyone elses.
to me its not about what i can do for my country, but what they can do to stop fucking me up.
I didn't do enough.😞 -
I'm just a kid so I can't change the world much, but I give back to my town by doing lots of community service for Boy Scouts and jrotc.

With allrespect toallthe militairy peoplewho are in the service because they feel its their duty.. I have done no such thing. Being in the militairy in the netherlands isnt so much of an honour but just a job description, in which u are not only need to be carefull for hostiles, but also for the law as when u fire a gun you are immidiatly transported back and accused of war crimes. Same goes for the police...
So the best i have done for my country is paying more then half of my monthly income of taxes... -
I am a criminal

Just earned my Eagle Scout rank yesterday and plan on being a history teacher for underprivileged children in Latin America

I've had this happen...the feeling is overwhelming...thanks for ur support....it's those little things that really count, a simple handshake and thank you goes a long way....I recently had a young kid, maybe 7 yrs, come up to me and do just that...blew me away that such a young man had that much respect, courtesy, and patriotism being so young and just the way the younger generations are these days, it was very unexpected...thanks again for everyone's support!I was out last night and got another opportunity to pay for a young service member's, and his family, dinner.
