Agree. If someone on your staff comes to you and says, "Hey, we just caught this guy red-handed screwing a child in the showers!" and your response is, "Yeah, um, well, I guess just don't let him back into the athletic complex anymore..."
Come on, Paterno. "I reported the allegation to my superiors," is an excuse. They caught the guy in the act. With a kid.

I want to know why McCreary saw this happening and just ran off to tell Paterno. Why didn't he 1) immediately rescue the kid and beat sandusky's ass right there and then or 2) call campus security? The fact that he ran to JoePa and then kept his mouth shut for 9 years sure seems like complicity to me

Ok to clear things up joe didn't do this to the kid and he did was he was legally obligated to do by telling his superiors. It's not his fault that his superiors kept their mouths shut about everything, and plus he didn't see him do this to the kid, so he didn't know If mate the person didn't like Sandusky and just said that or if it was true. And he wasn't fired, he retired, because he feels he should have done more. It's terrible that someone who wanted to coach until he died has to leave now.

Really dude? You sound like Paterno's PR guy. So you hear of this happening and the AD doesn't do anything so you keep quiet? And he was forced into retirement. He didn't feel guilty he was told by Penn State that he had to go.

Ummm...no, he was definitely fired. He tried to SAY he was gonna retire at years end, they gave him his walking papers yesterday. Rightfully so!! 👊👊🔨🔨

He didn't tell paterno until the next day. After he saw what he saw he went home n called his daddy like the lil bitch he is. Then he n his daddy went down to talk to paterno. Paternos legacy should b tarnished now cuz of this. They were kids n he didn't do a damn thing!
