Turfs make money. Money in turn allows the buying and maintaining of weapons/defence. But this is just a circular need that unless you are the best in your area will end not in your favor

So why bother with turfs? You get way more experience with LESS influence on weaker enemies too. So once you do become the best you'll even have more turfs to boot like this.

You even get the added bonus of outlasting those who play so much of this game they get sick of it. Then they become your exp punching bags and your free turfs

Hell, just barely play until 3000 mob and you'd be golden
