Why would anyone with half a brain advertise an app called top girl or the bible app on a game called turf wars ?

I would guess its an advertising circle and all the apps who take part in it cycle through.

Subject matter isn't the point in this situation, revenue is. ✊

It's managed by an advertising agency. Individuals would have limited control over exactly where their app ads are shown. It's all PPC.
