However some could hop to you and destroy you. For example, I could hop to your location and cripple your growth in two days without much effort.

There is a Title deed which is a loot item and you get loot from doing missions (only some give a chance of loot). The easiest way for you would be to tear down that turf and plant a new one in its position with a different name, or close by so nobody knows exactly where your house is :)
