Hopping or actually driving there?

Depends on the distance and congestion.

Hopping. You can hop more mileage in 10 minutes than you can drive in a vehicle. Unless your ripping 100mph all the way.
I'm gonna time it but pretty sure I can do 3 hops a minute. That's 1.8 miles a minute.

Just timed it. Layed 2 and half way through upgrading 3rd. So 1.2 miles technically speaking.Darth Vadan™ wrote:

In a city with busy traffic, it'd be hopping. Over a interstate or highway, it's driving
-
Something tells me my fingers need to get quicker!

2 hops a min is 120 hops an hour and 72 miles. That's with 124 inf turfs.
But that's not realistic unless you're 200 under limit and have that many upgrades.
So let's assume 15 minutes are wasted tearing down trails. This gives me 90 hops an hour and 45 miles. This is can do when I'm focused.
Now, driving wise, to do 72 miles in 1 hour I'd need to travel at an avg 72mph. Unrealistic considering stops and traffic. If you base it on city driving at 30mph, 72 miles would take 144 mins (2.4 hrs). Motorway driving..possibly could do it.
In a nutshell, the time it'd take to cover 72 miles in city driving I could cover 108 miles hopping.

Got it! Now i know cheers

Get a motorbike! Spend time enjoying the travel to drop turf. Stop / start / queues? No thanks - thats a car drivers game. 👍

I think you maybe right, but I was glad of my car this morning!

Agree with Grane - it's a life / time thing. Most people know how far they can or are willing to hop v how long and if they can get to a place in a time that suits them. Good for V for throwing his figures 👍 but in the end its down to circumstance (location against free time minus grief from wife if I'm on TW again is my formula but I still get it wrong)😼
