How about the French have a few hundred more years of military history than we do...when we have made war for as long as the French i'd say we can then talk $h!t. Oh yeah don't forget about Napoleon or the fact that they built an empire that spanned the globe.

Wow. Nicely written. Never hung out with army types but I can tell you the same is true of the navy and the marines. I was blown away watching 18 to 20 year old kids making decisions handling millions of dollars of equipment. VERY mature for their years... Then they stole the couch from aft berthing and duct taped the guy that was guarding it to an overhead air duct. You can trust them with your freedom but not with a case of duct tape!
