Steve Jobs has passed away...

On October 6th I think, Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple and technology icon succumbed to cancer that he had been fighting.
Steve Jobs revolutionized the world, and created Apple, a company that symbolized simplicity and value. he made it possible for games like TW to exist. through the iPod, the iPad, the Mac, he connected communities. the world is a lesser place. I can't claim to know him anymore than most of you guys, but Steve will forever remain in my heart as the guy who brought us together, the TW community.

Steve Jobs revolutionized personal computers with the Apple II, a computer that used icons and links, a graphical interface for the user, instead of unreadable strings of code and programming.
he created the first iPhone, a smart phone that didnt have 1000 functions and keys: only a touch screen that was a wonder to type on.
"I am as proud of what I don't do as much as what I do."
-Steve Jobs, on the amazingly simple interface of the iMac. -
Apple was created in a kid's bedroom.
Steve not only advanced technology; he improved a customer's shopping experience. with a simple store, employees walking around ready to give honest advice and sell, and the Genius Bar to help customers, Steve's Apple shop provided a model for stores everywhere.Steve worked for Disney. he advanced the computer animation industry, creating cartoons that we take for granted today.
The Apple II: a wonder. it was a computer that even a child could use, with an easy to comprehend graphical interface. it also used beautiful text instead of the robotic font of other computers., straight from Steve Jobs' calligraphy classes in college.
Steve believed in "wow" moments, such as when he showed the first MacBook Pro by pulling it outnofna Manila envelope to show how thin it was. he improved our world in so many ways. We must remember him as an icon for creativity and innovation.
Godless Steve Jobs.

RIP Steve Jobs. Does it really matter that someone has already made a thread on Steve Jobs? There are thousands of posts of total fluff on this forum, so who is the Turf War God who gets to decide what people post? Surely such an icon as Steve Jobs is deserving of a few threads? That was a nice tribute and was worth reading.

Just years on the news, while people were mourning Jobs at their local Apple store, someone was stealing merchandise. disgusting people.
