Can anybody give me advice?

I think you will do all right with your life. You are remorseful, you are taking the right action, and you have learnt from your error. I doubt you will ever steal again.
If you think it is OK to steal from certain quarters because it doesn't matter, then you risk falling into victim mode and not taking responsibility for your own actions.

....go back again and try your luck emp. This time don't get caught.

Volunteering for community service to make up for trying to steal from a mega billion dollar corporation is a bit far. No one was risk of getting hurt except a corporation that has way too much anyways. Learn from your mistake and don't do anything stupid like that again
interesting. so if it's ok for anyone (employees, execs, large stockholders, suppliers, partners, customers, etc) to steal from multibillion dollar corporations, at what point is it not ok?
over a billion it's ok or over a million? is it ok only if it's profitable? what if they are losing money?
just curious where the cutoff point is where it goes from being cool to being uncool.

you're awesome! your sincerity is obvious. good job. Here's what I've decided to do:
I have talked to the principal of mu school and am in the process of writing a letter to the store in apology. I will be volunteering one saturday every month at a nonprofit of my choice.
Thanks to everyone who has given me advice on this. I appreciate it. -

This is the worst idea,Write a letter to the store.
And talk to the principal. Tell them you were sorry and you weren't thinking and it won't happen again.Simple.
NEVER put anything in writing.

Some companies write off the 22% inventory loss in thier budget. As for what's wrong: look in your heart. Stealing is never 'right' unless you're willing to kill to justify it.
