I'm not a pop music fan, but I love Poker Face & hate (the song) California Girls. I'm assuming you're talking about Katy Perry's craptastic song, not the Beach Boys classic. California girls (in the flesh) are the best to grace this fine country. 😽

Worst: any hip hop that isn't independent, or isn't talking about something significant after the year 1989.
Best: Beck, Arcade Fire, Metric, Sonic Youth, RHCP, Flaming Lips, Joy Division, Neil Young, Oasis, Rage Agansit the Machine, just off the top of my head. Oh and Bowie, and Queen. Pink Floyd too.

Ha, I bought an akinyele album in high school bc my friends & I love the song "put it in your mouth". It's always been one of those filthy guilty pleasures. The rest of the album was awful.
