Jinx when you a make turf and call it whores1 it's too tempting to take a place like that.👍
-
This new rule takes the whole point of the bank out cause now nobody needs to worry about getting farmed and bank is now more costly
-
The real story of Jinx:
I took over 5 of his 7 turfs. He attacked back and lost.
Then he moved south to Cinncinatti, where it seems Butch beat his ass.
I never farmed him, and Butterface is some other player here (who will gladly attest to hating me but not for farming)
This new rule has completely changed the game. It's a lot more like monoploy now vs turf wars.
-
A hitlist similar to vamps live in my opinion would even things out a bit.
-
My point, Jinx, is that your complaints of being farmed aren't true (at least not by me).
I started playing this game 2 weeks ago. You and your turfs were there way before me. Yet, despite how unfair the game was before this recent change, I managed to get way ahead of you, beat your ass, take your turf, all under the same "cruel" rules.
It's what made the game fun. I literally lost sleep over how much fun it was. I even spent some serious cash on the game.
Now... I'll keep playing, but this isn't the same fun game anymore.

it seems that the real problem here is this rule, on its surface, is way better for the "casual" gamer who only plays once every couple of days and doesn't go hunt down invite codes from every corner of the earth.. which is probably a much bigger market. However, the extreme gamers are a lot more likely to pony up dough. Hopefully they will figure out how to make the game rewarding and fun for both types of player, I'm confident that they will so I'm going to stick around and see how this fine tuning shakes out. Unfortunately until then I'll have to capture and sell off a lot of newbies turfs! Hey, it's not against the rules..
-
I think you guys are making too big of a deal out of this. I'm a level 12 with no turf so my entire income is based on fighting and even with this rule change I have made several hundred thousand already today. I agree that fighting is more time consuming and challenging now, but having nearly a 1000 mike radius to fight means you can open up the map and look for someone to fight. If they make you money, great. If they don't, then move on to the next player. I dont think the rule should change. Maybe an updated fight screen including more players or someway of knowing who you've already attacked in the last 36 hours would be nice.
-
I just noticed something else that REALLY sucks.. I got attacked by somebody about 50 times in a row and I didn't get any experience for it!! At least not the later attacks, the early attacks had already scrolled off my messages page. That seems like an oversight..
-
Wow this is pretty hated they should put it back

Thanks to everyone for the feedback on the recent changes!
The main reason we made the update is because the attacks were getting way out of hand. It's one thing to attack someone for some quick cash or revenge, but we've been seeing dozens of attacks on some players every single day. Obviously this doesn't encourage new players to stick around long.
Those of you who survived the gauntlet and are big dogs now might see this as unfair - after all you walked to school uphill both ways in the ice & snow and I respect that.
We're always looking to balance the game between the hard-core and casual gamers, and will be making future adjustments to ensure the game is fun for everyone.
New features are coming in the next few weeks that will make combat more interesting for everyone - in the meantime keep sharing your feedback!

also think about it, developers. who am i going to attack now? i just used my 28 stamina to attack a bunch of small mobs that can't defend themselves against me cuz i don't have enough people near my level to attack with this new rule. the very people u claim to protect are gonna get hurt worse by players like me
-
Thanks posting Nick please read what several players have suggested as possible ways to address the problem.
-
Change it from attacks to you policy to a attacking TURF

Listen the cap is good. The only ppl bitching are the ones on top. Also they talked about how the took their licks, trust me lol they never to licks like this. If you disable turf attacks just change the title of the fucking game.Change it from attacks to you policy to a attacking TURF

Everyone that hates this new rule also post in my forum. And just say get rid of the new rule. With both these negative forums about this new rule it may get removed!
-
Nick, this rule needs tweaking. I understand why it's good to prevent 30 attacks per day. But that's what the bank and the emergency room are for. If new members can't learn that for themselves, like the rest of us did, they don't need to have their hands held. As suggested above, apply this limit to turf attacks only, as those are the most detrimental to new players. Otherwise the rule penalizes veterans like myself who have forked over a significant amount of REAL MONEY for their love of the game. I'm interested in the future changes but until then I will not be spending another dime.
-
I've quit using the bank. I lose less than 10% just letting it sit. Before it was a challenge to protect my money and turf from others; now there seems to be no chalenge. If this continues I'm quitting, because The game is boring. And I'm not yet big, rich, or powerful. Would have been, but little incentive to try now.
-
I quit mafia live 4 this same bullshit. I spend all this money trying 2 stay above water, then all of a sudden u change the rules which negates everything I spent money 2 do. I'm going to ask apple 2 acompany me in rquesting a refund, it's not fair 2 those of us who spent the money.
-
I am not a "vet" and I still don't like the rule. Took the fun out of the game. I learned how to prootect my $ with the bank. When I slept I took a beating but at least I earned exp points. Now my turf is attacked it costs me money and I get nothing exp wise. How does this help the newby like me?

So, 4 months after the game was released, it was doomed.
To be fair, though, most of the people who posted here, did eventually quit.
