I'm am fast approaching my first anniversary...the paper anniversary? WTF? Any suggestions on abnormal "papery" things I can do? I'm going to get her a normal gift but want to incorporate the paper thing in there somewhere. All I got so far is write her a letter on...drum roll please........PAPER! Ugh...I can do better then that. Any ideas?

See if you can find like an 1800's replica of a scroll. Find your favorite wedding photo and have an Artist do a charcoal rendition of the photo for her.

Origami sculpture? Photo album/scrapbook of your first year? Money?
-
Paper aeroplane?
-
Origami was something i was going to do...make a few dozen cranes. The artists rendering of a wedding photo is also a good idea.

Buy the kamasutra. Books are written on paper
-
Yeah if she has a favourite book, go for a limited edition or something like that? Personally I wrote a poem superimposed it onto a copy of one of our wedding photos. Presented it in a frame.
Seemed to do the job, especially since I'm no poet, she appreciated the effort. -
Paper? Hmmmm, kick out twenty of those Grants (green paper) and take her to an all day spa to be pampered.

Get her divorce papers and a pen. The buy yourself a nice numbered bank account in the cayman islands. Actually do that step first.

Nice that the romantics are in!

Buy her 1 share in Facebook and tell her she owns the company.

Keep it simple. The whole idea of the paper anniversary is that it has only been a year and should not be too over done. Something personal from you, even something as simple as a letter recaping the joys you've shared the past year should do the trick. You don't have to or want to go too big. It's designed to be a teered system with each year being a more significant gift. No need to set yourself to break the bank right out of the gate.

I swear if you're planning on making me a paper airplane for our wedding anniversary I will reset you lol, just saying.Paper aeroplane?
Back on topic...
Letters are nice because they are personal and in your own words, just make the design fancy etc. Girls like things like that more than something someone else did, especially for a wedding anniversary. -

Hope you two have a comfy couch out in the doghouse.... Lesson learned, make fun of the wife in a game she DOESN'T play. As for paper, go by a new iPad and give her the receipt!KĮŁŁÊR G💀🌹 wrote:

Haha ya. I think a nicely done letter, we have a bunch of unframed wedding photos, and tickets to the theater (not cinema) should do the trick. Failing that, Sombraros are made out of paper. As everyones saying set the bar low so there's less chance of a let down in the coming years when I start slacking!

Good luck BK, cotton next year then leather.... You have to get creative
-
We bought a house. Plenty of paperwork there.
But krissharm has the right idea.

Papier mâché?

Give her nothing. It's a great dinner party conversation.
-
I made a 'wooden' flute out of paper mâché for my musical other half once, took some careful design to get the length/internal diameter correct. Another pain was running the math to make sure the holes were drilled in exactly the right places so it was actually tuneful.
Paper is a start point, get imaginitive! -

I saw this cute thing on Pinterest the other day. It was a few pictures of a couple, the husband kissing the wife on the cheek, same exact pose in each one. The idea was to take the same picture every year on your anniversary & watch the two of you grow old together. 😋
