iPad vs Courier - Thoughts?

I'm a mixed bag as far as Apple/PC background. I've gravitated towards Mac the last few years, but am more than slightly underwhelmed with the iPad (buying one anyway). Not because of any specific reason, basically because of a complete lack of innovation. Microsoft on the other hand, whose been without innovation or reliabilty since XP, has what appears to be a ground breaking device in their new digital tablet device, the Courier. I'm really excited (for I think the first time in years) for a MS unveiling, and I even have hopes this product will spur competetive innovation from the slowly rotting Apple... Maybe I'll end up craigslisting my iPad...

Um, the ipad is just a bigger iPod touch -_- I wouldn't buy one. but it's your money

Is it possible to put Linux on an iPod and still use apps somehow?
