pretty much as soon as my kid gets college aged and I turn 40 I want to take every cent and live out my days in Mexico. I love the people, the food, the sun. I want to understand more about the classist divide in the country. I want to buy chicharones from the side of the road, munch crickets in Oaxaca, and learn how to drive in a car with no doors. I want to wear flip flops year round and never become one of those ex-pats who kind of just stopped snorkeling. I want to run a tiny ass restaurant for internationals with money, kick ass simple food done right. I want to be the American cooking in a kitchen in Mexico rather than the lone American in a kitchen full of amigos in the states. Mí cocineros, mi hombres, mi vatos. no soy china, soy Koreana. soy americana. yo se que te tiraste un pedo.

Mexico sounds fab. I spend quite some time on the beaches of Dubai and to me you cannot top that. But, if Mexico has the "va va voom" you all claim it does then let's get our beach gear ready and and soon as DG gives the green light let's go amigo crazy 😝

It really is not as bad as the news makes it out to be. Obviously in some cities there is a lot of violence but in most towns and cities it is safe from drug related violence.
