Do You think that 9/11 should be made a national Holiday
Forums › General Discussion › Do You think that 9/11 should be made a national Holiday-
I personally am on the fence about this I can see both arguments of (in favor of it) that it should be a national day of remembrance and mourning for a nation that was attacked in cold blood and for the sake of the people who lost thier lives there and (in opposition) yes it should be a day of national mourning but ppl will look opon this day as just a day to take off of work or school and look at it just like that, it's already at that level in peoples mind so y make it a holiday if ppl are just going to look forward to it as a day off. I personally think also that if 9/11 is going to be made a holiday that pearl harbor should be made one too

No. There are more important days that should be made first. In most of our lifetimes, this is the most recent, but what about D Day in WWII? For that matter, what percent of the general public knows when/what D Day was?

General public. I think asking questions on an iPhone is cheating a little cuz of web browser but still. You see my point tho.

Sorry but no, it was a horrible event but I think it should not be made a holiday, if we made every horrible event a holiday well we wouldn't get much work done!. But considering the day my thoughts go out to the people who lost theirs lives and the people who lost friends and family 🙏

National holidays should be celebratory days in my opinion.for example in UK the royal wedding got made a holiday.
-
Isn't it patriots day?
-
It's exactly what it should be a day of reflection. D day, Pearl Harbor and 9/11. All days that shouldn't be holidays but all days that we should remember
-
I don't think it should be a "holiday" more a reflection day. Memorial Day has turned into the first weekend away for Spring rather than a reflection day. However, the US definitely needs more nationwide holidays, rather than all the half-baked government holidays than no-one else gets off. But not days off celebrating tragedy.

it should be a memorial day

Pearl Harbor was not. Lol, the only difference was one was made by a country we could physically target and the other was made by a bunch of chicken $hits brainwashed by story's in a book who said to kill everyone that's not like them. They both were acts of terror. -

Technically we didn't enter the war until after pearl harbor happened, up until that point we were neutral.SirWasteAlot wrote:

if your implying the Koran says to kill everyone that's not like tne your a racist. It is a shame some want to blame all Muslims. There are many Christians who have killed in the name of god, that doesn't mean all Christians are bad does it? We should realize Muslims are no different from any other religion. Some use their religion for good, and some for badKillerchef🔨🔥💀 wrote:

Pearl is what brought us into the war, we were not active participants tho we did have some combat units loaned to other countries that had already been fighting for half a decade against the Japanese.SirWasteAlot wrote:
