I'm watching one of those 9/11 specials on tv. And we've all seen images of the towers, the planes, the fire, smoke and ppl running.
I never really watched the interviews.
What got to me was when the passengers who stopped the last plane. The wives left behind had to explain to their small kids that "daddy isn't coming home anymore" "can we call him onhis cell phone mommy?"" no sweetheart, they dont have cell phones in heaven" "can we send him a letter with the mailman?" -
I watched so much CNN that week. I have an "America Remembers" DVD that came out the next year. It was a horrible event that will never be forgotten. Someone should dig up the "Where were you on 9/11?" thread that we had last year

I was in my 10th grade art class. My school tried to keep us in the dark about it all day. All I was told was that an airplane had hit a building in new york. My parents tried to explain in the car ride home that it wasn't just the one plane. My first thought when I found out that three planes were able to hit their targets, was disbelief. I still don't understand how the second and third planes were able to hit buildings in two of the most patrolled airspaces in the world, which were guarded by the most skilled pilots, in the most well funded air force on the planet. It really made me question my ideals of America up until that point.

I highly respect the people on the fourth plane, if they didn't stop the terrorists from hitting the whitehouse, who knows what life would be like. Thank you everyone that helped during 9/11🇺🇸

For sure. And to all those ground zero volunteers who are still suffering from the ailments caused by breathing in the dust while trying to save lives. And let's not forget those insurance companies, and the American government officials who are still failing to support those volunteers even now.I highly respect the people on the fourth plane, if they didn't stop the terrorists from hitting the whitehouse, who knows what life would be like. I still vividly remember watching the second plane fly into the building live. I will never forget it.
