Please wear your SAFETY BELT!
Forums › General Discussion › Please wear your SAFETY BELT!-
An old friend of mine lost his 1st born son(12) & young brother(24) on LaborDay; due to an accident in upstate NY on the way back from weekend camping. The incident is still under investigation, but word is that they weren't wearing seatbelts. My deepest and sincerest condolences are with the Beauchamp family. People, please buckle up...!

That's terrible. Condolences to your friends family.

I'm sorry to hear that

My bestfriends sister recently passed away from a car accident as well... There were 4 others in the car with her , she was the only one not wearing a seat belt and the only one that died... All could have been avoided if she just buckled up

Life is so unfair sometimes. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your friends family.

Wow, that's tough, sorry about that.
Buckle up America! -
My neighbor once told me a story. She said how 4 of her friends were driving in a car. 3 of them had seatbelts on, 1 didn't. They got in to a terrible accident, but it was strange. The 3 wearing seatbelts died and the one not wearing one lived. I found that really weird.
But, I digress. My prayers go out to your friend and his family. 🙏

Well agreed, my two sons were in an accident 16 driving buckled in, 14 year old asleep across the back bench of our van unbuckled... I know they are a pain in the ass but had he been buckled and in the back, I believe he'd be here today... RIP

So very sorry Charlie and Gungrave.

My condolences such a terrible thing. seat belts have been know to cause their own damage. My grandmother was decapitated by a shoulder strap. My grandfather who was unbuckled survived.

Yea, I've always struggled with this controversy... Especially while pregnant, we weigh our odds either way depending on the situation... If it's our time I guess it's our time... On average though seat belts save more lives

My condolences to both Charlie and Gungrave. In modern vehicles (with airbags) at speeds over 60mph (I think or thereabouts) the seatbelt can cause more injury than not wearing them from broken ribs that pierce through internal organs. But I don't know what are worse odds so as a rule of thumb always buckle up even if you're in the back as you may cause the person in front of you wearing a belt an injury (or death) by hitting the back of their seat.My condolences such a terrible thing. seat belts have been know to cause their own damage. My grandmother was decapitated by a shoulder strap. My grandfather who was unbuckled survived.

It's hard to believe that after soo many years that people still feel the need to not buckle up. It's been proven numerous times that seat belts save lives. It's the same thing with helmets.
-
Usually problems caused by seatbelts occur when people don't wear them in the correct position.
Drive carefully and wear your seat belt.
Condolences to Charlie and gungrave

Well... This is what happens when you don't wear seatbelts... You WILL ALMOST DEFINITELY DIE!!! Wearing seatbelts is required by law in America, so if you aren't wearing your seatbelt, not only are you putting yourself in danger, you are also breaking the law!!!

Sorry guys, sucks, but it is an accident. RIP

I was in the car accident where my car flipped 4 times and finished upside down, and because I and my loved one were wearing our seat belts we survived... In fact I didn't break a bone. But I looked like I was in a 15 round fight with mike Tyson, and had a serious concusion, God was watching over us... Seat belts are extremely important! My condolences to that family, may God grant them peace

May they rest in peace and condolences to the family
