We are a couple years out from that. Everything they do for the next 18 months or so will still have been a SJ baby. This probably means he's not doing as well as expected with the cancer and/or treatments

Yeah Steve jobs resigned as CEO for health reasons (his health has been getting worse recently) so this is really more of Steve stepping down as the actual leader, but in every ones minds, if he's still at apple then he's still leading.

Steve's biggest contribution is in his showmanship and personal touch to the marketing. Without that the company will lose it's magic quickly

Yup.
I doubt there will be any major difference in the company. It's still all the same people. Steve just doesn't have the title he used to.
