If you plant turf in a new city, is it proper to advise the local capo or big players of your intentions..... Unless of course you're going to cap them lol...

Always a good idea - particularly if you may be viewed as a threat.

Perhaps it's good ettiquite, but I never bother to communicate unless I'm placing a significant number of turfs. I find that most local Capos are territorial enough to make first contact if they feel threatened.
I usually try & communicate my intentions to smaller mobs unless I'm there to take their Capo.

It's always nice to make contact. It's just a game and it's all in fun. There's no reason to incite hard feelings.... just realized I'm a hypocrite.

yeah make contAct. when players pop up and i don't know why, I always consider them fair game. but a friendly capture here and there is often unavoidable!
