When turf wars first started what was it like?
-

When it first started, I suppose nick had 1000 spoofed alts to make the game look busy!! Lol

Black and White. With a starting crank.
-

Nick had hampsters to keep the game running.

There were no forums in the beginning days. No private messages. Everything was public. No vendettas. No limits on farming. U could just continually pound on one person and gain xp and skill points as long as they were out of the ER.

There was also a cap on don points. The game was very, very regional.

Why don't you and Chris Paul exchange phone numbers then you can have all the pointless discussions you want in real time

When I started I was a lowly newb with a tiny mob, about a year and a half has past and... well, I still have a tiny mob :D but I have been around quite a while, I remember the release of the forums (I actually started one of the first threads in G&D, but it was meant for S&I) and pms. I have the codes of some of the legends of TW posted on my wall as well, such as: Big Hank, ChainsawCharlie, thuglife, Schulzie, Blox, Stringer Bell and gasface.
The were times when you needed 1k mob to be on the leaderboards (Nixon was the first to reach 2, I believe).
I also remember the TW equivalent to doomsday: the few hours where everyone's turf was reduced to 0 influence for no reason.

So, at launch there was a lot more purity even if some of the "protection"-type rules weren't in place yet (ie cap limits, 10%rule, influence rule, etc)whitey bulger wrote: I'm pretty sure there is still a monthly 10k cap on dp.There was also a cap on don points. You had to hop, barefoot (and gloveless) in the snow, uphill (through deadspots) both ways.
