So the whole world seems to
Be going insane ATM, violence, war, idiots and complete dicks seem to be on and running our streets, so I thought I will do a thread based on good deeds to boost moral! Post about any good deeds you have done, plan to do or had done to yourself :) I'll start;I was getting on bus one day when a big guy got off the bus, suddenly he grabbed my hand and shook it then left, I was like wtf, when I realised their was a valid bus ticket in my hand :) so now whenever I'm done with my valid bus tickets I do the Same thing and pass my ticket on :)

Great idea, everythings so tense right now. I can't think of anything I've done recently that can go here but something that's come out of these riots is incredible. The community spirit shown yesterday in clapham junction, enfield and hounslow was just fantastic. They way everyone locally came together as 1 to defend, protect and clean up the towns. It shows great humility and should be encouraged. The best thing is, the majority of these locals were young adults. It shows what good discipline, respect and moral standards can achieve.

Okay since it is a good polar to my thread I'll post here too.
I think volunteer work is important for everyone to do if even once a year.
So far this year I've given my time to "the childerens wish foundation" and "feed nova scotia". Both great charities that are local and affect local families directly. No just sending your cash away and not seeing results. A guy I work with son was granted his wish last year and it was incredible to see that little boys face light up when he got it. And feed nova scotia is collecting food and handing it to locals in need. Some of us have so much...I may not have much money in my pocket but I have a fully belly a new car and my mortgage gets paid. I can't donate cash...but I have time.
I was also a bigger brother to a boy with downs. Incredible little guy. I miss how optimistic and unconditionally happy he was just to see me.

Oh also I "adopted" a highway and me and the guys go clean it up every couple months...but I do that on work time so I can't really brag about it...

At what age should you tell a highway it's adopted? 😏

I am a firm believer in acts of random kindness. Somedays these can be as small as just saying good morning to someone out of the blue or just trying to make someone smile. Oh course I would love to hit the lottery and surprise a a person with a drive by bag of money..but I find that even the small an unexcepted good things seem to keep my faith in humanity.

I always will extend my hand to help anyone, even those who prob don't deserve it!! ....love this thread!! I've (me and friends) stopped old people being mugged and abused and hurt on numerous occassions, me and misse other month took kids to forest where lots of youths set fire to the dry wood(remember when we hadn't had rain for ages n ages) ....when they see me my misses my mum and kids come they all ran off, we put fire out as best could but kept catching again so we stayed there till was safe, animals and nature can't protect itself actively against dickheads like that!!

I was walking down my road once, not even two doors down from mine (im at top of hill) and i saw a lady trip and fall down at the bottom, So i just legged it down and helped her up, despite the fact that it left me in pain the rest of the day (I have problems with my ankles) she was fine just alittle scratched up, i know what its like in london so rude sometimes, ive always been brought up with manners, so opening doors for people is second nature, but when i done it in london i was stood their for 5 minutes as people poured through the door i held open for just one little old lady, and no one even acknowledged my existance, not asking for a parade but i little nod of appreciation lol!, me and my mum have always planned to skip christmas and work a soup kitchen but we never know where to go? anyone know of places in brighton?

All I can say Pyroarcher is do what you think is right and expect nothing in return. Examples do have influence and you never know who might see it and be impressed enough to change their behavior.

A friend I have tried to kill himself 2 times. He quit his job and doesn't care what happens. I have vowed to help him out so have passed his cv around town at all places and am moving him into my place until he gets back on his feet. It is a huge responsibility to take on and not really what I could do with right now, but if I don't help him he won't be here in a few months.

Damn. You might want to see if you can get him checked out for depression. Or see why he feels life isn't worth it. True friend indeed.A friend I have tried to kill himself 2 times.
