Whole worlds going to hell...

Do you think? Is the world going crazier? Or is it just that we are hearing about it more now because of communications? Does violence run in cycles?
I'm not sure how I feel. There has always been warlords taking lands and slaughtering people in war. There has always been crazy people who kill and rape. There's been good people who have turned to violence in a rebellion. But has there always been this much off all those? There's more people on the planet so there is naturally more violence. But is it proportional? Is the ratio the same through the generations? Or is the whole damn world going to hell? But maybe it's just a cycle. War happens. Cival unrest happens. Some would argue it has to happen. Is this just "our time".
Any thoughts?

"The world as we know it will change". It's happening before us everywhere. Economies, war, famine... Self destruction.

So you lean more towards the cycle of things?

I think theirs a bigger picture, I think we have to go alittle crazy, to find our sanity, if that makes sense? Maybe this is part of the whole Mayan thing and we will all find our sanity come the end of 2012!

Well except for the 2012 part of what you said, part of me agrees. It's morbid and rather grim but maybe we need to tear it all down before we can build it back up. Sounds sort of noble on paper...almost worth it. But the means needs to justify the ends in this scenario. The equal and opposite reaction of looting, for example, isn't the kind of thing that's going to bring about positive change. These people arnt rioting for their cause (anymore?), they're looting because they can. So I have to wonder if tearing it down will lead to building it better when the motive behind tearing it down is petty greed.I think theirs a bigger picture, I think we have to go alittle crazy, to find our sanity, if that makes sense? Do lean more towards the cycle if things or a constant downward spiral till we burn ourselves out completely one and for all?

Yeah I think it's a cycle. Not gonna take the religious path on this but many events that have been documented in some way represents a cycle of a coming age. I think we're approaching a new era, which has a somewhat clouded future. What we've seen this year alone is a build up to something that will either bring the world (as humanity) closer or push us apart even more. Does that make sense?VADAN wrote:

I agree wit pyroacher as in things get worse to get better, will take shit to push the communities together, it brought tear of joy to my eyes to see in southall all the sikh men and Muslim and Christian and Hindu men all came together to protect their temple and homes and business, I think it take these things(unfortunately so) to create unity and togetherness!! BUT IF N WEN BLOWS OVER WE CAN'T FORGET OR LET GO OFF THAT SOLIDARITY THAT COMMUNITY ONENESS!! sorry to shout buy that's hat usually happens when dust settle we forget until drastic shit happens again but next time could be too late

Muslims,Hindus, sikhs,Christians all working together for common cause!! ....we all want same things whatever religion or colour, why does it have to take this stuff to bring Out our true colours and our qualities, I've seem some of the worst of human nature but some of the best also in these last few days!!!

@ Krazi; I know what you mean man. Even though creed is fueling the riots right now a whole other cross section of people are coming together as a community. I have a friend who flips out about foreign policies and wars in other countries. Which are legitimate concerns. But he spends sooooo much effort chasing conspiracies and being mad at things he can't change. If he (and everyone) focused that energy on the community, the people around them, the world would be a better place. You can't fix the world. But if everyone put forth the effort to better thier community the world will fix itself.

👆that being said I've never had to do anything illegal to obtain those basic needs. I can see how some people in some countries may HAVE to steal to feed themselves n there families. I wish I had it figured out...I turn 30 tomorrow...maybe that's why I'm feeling all "searchy" haha
