I just wanted to make a post to find how others feel about people confusing Turfwars with Real Life. I always thought that this may happen but after seeing a thread regarding Ed Shooter i did see a few alarming messages there. Messages that involved Real life threats, post codes, adresses, invites etc Come on people this is a game!
Having been on the recieving end of an ingame beating (that i brought on myself) i do know it can be frustrating. But i kept quiet, took it, and am slowly recovering. I even made some good friends out of the experience and have learned a lot about the game. I never sent out any over abusive messages or threats. Weve all seen this type of message and how u choose to respond to it is up to you. Some ignore it, some fuel the fire with replies and some like to send the abuser for a visit to ER. Each person is different and there are many ingame ways to respond.

I dread to think that one day i am going to see TW in the world news because an ingame argument has escalated to real life and someone has been injured or worse. Ok TW uses real money but u have to control that yourself. set yourself a monthly budget or a max limit. Perhaps attend some anger management classes, but please dont start to make threats on people and their families. Im sure Nick and the team are aware of this and have probably checked it out from a legal point of view.
I guess what i am trying to say is this. TW is a game. A game with up's and down's. A game that we all dedicate time to and enjoy. Lets keep it that way people!!

For me it's passion I'm not the kind of guy who gets fucked over in real life so when I started playing and people took the piss and send me abuse I'd take it badly as they probably wouldn't say it to my face

I used to take this game way too personal. Ironically it was Ed shooter that changed my perspective of this game. After being very abusive, personal and ott, I have changed my game play. I cap a lot more and if capped I take it on the chin. If it's excessive I approach calmly. If that doesn't work I'll find a way to annoy them but I will never get personal or abusive again. Cheers Ed for at least teaching me that much.
