Just had the police round my dads flat today as he was burgled(or I noticed it on tues) it's taken the police since tuesday 1pm till Thursday 7pm to get a officer to the house!!! That is disgusting especially as my dad is 76 now!! Lol.....then had the cheek to say can't finger print as too much dust settled in the house!! WTF ? If they had come the sane day the forensics would have had a better chance!! Jokers, if there's no one for them to arrest they ain't interested or if they can't hand out a fine!!!

When did you report the crime? That's very suprising that they didn't come within minutes of the call.
I was burgled a couple months ago and they dusted for prints but found only 3 (which were problaby mine) Chances are they wouldn't have gotten prints if they did get there immediately inyour case. It's actually very hard to lift a good print.
I would maybe tell a reporter about the slow response time.

Most burgalars were gloves anyway lol unless there thick

They must of been busy and since the burglar had left they don't class it as major

They are cutting back on public services, this is what happens.
Also unless they have a quick and easy form like a speeding form they can't be arsed with the paperwork. They have no intention of recovering the stuff or catching the burglar. They are just giving you a crime reference so you can claim on your insurance.
