I've tried three different bt keyboards for the iPad, the apple version, which doesn't have a numeric keypad works best for me. The other two have keypads, but have problems. It seems that only one of the "enter" keys can be used and it's the one on the main kb, not the keypad. Bad design, imo

I have the apple BT keyboard. Works great and looks nice as well. The first one I bought wound up with a stuck space bar after only 3 weeks. I brought it back to the apple store and they replaced it with a new one, no questions asked. Kudos to Apple for excellent customer service (at least in my case). btw i am typing this from my BT keyboard... it's not just for punching codes ;-)I've tried three different bt keyboards for the iPad, the apple version, which doesn't have a numeric keypad works best for me. I've never used anything but the built in keyboard on my iPhone. Tip... Have a screen of codes open on your computer and type away always hitting the keyboards go button.

To get to 20,000 mob I have typed at least 40,000 codes in (probably much more). At 40,000 codes on BT keyboard at 10 per minute for 80% of the codes and prior to that punching much slower at 5 per minute or less on iPhone that would be 100 hours of typing. Thinking back I would revise the 40,000 to more than 50,000 easily. How long do u say u have typed codes in and do u have any tips?
Tips: definitely the $69 or so apple keyboard and touch type....don't look at the keyboard or what you are typing...but do put the iPad up near the screen you are typing from so that peripherally you will notice when you mistype or simply have a bad code given to you...would have been nice if nick had beeped on bad code entry and chirped when a good code had successfully entered..

Mobcode, I've done that many easy all on the iPhone as well. Think all the main sites go back to Feb 2010, when you add in the temps too...

You dont need the bt keyboard. I actually prefer cydias 5 row. It puts numbers at the top for the reg codes and stays on the number pad for temps. In my height I was way faster than 10 a minute. I'll have to time myself again as I forgot my times.
-
My maim tip is use db. The 3 column format makes for faster punching as well as the 300 codes per page

It's all personal preference. I tried using the 5 row keyboard for a few weeks & could never get used to it. Typo after typo. Fat sausage fingers will fo that I guess. Typed all my codes in iPhone keyboard. Takes a bit to get into the swing of it buy once you find s groove you can fly through them. Temps first ALWAYS and then pick whatever code site works best for you. Listen to the advice above about using a computer to display the codes. Don't get discouraged & keep punching. If you feel burnt out, do a smaller amount that day but try to do at least temps every day.You dont need the bt keyboard. I actually prefer cydias 5 row. Ty everyone one of the Maine reasons I want to arm up is because of the bullies in my area I WANs wipe them out. Thanks for the advice

Does any1 know of a built in keyboard on the iPad or pod that u can select to make the numbers show up on the top of the screen
-
Think the Cydia 5-row will do that.
I just use standard keypad on iPad...
Punch all temps as they expire after 7days.
I use mobcode.org.... Suits me best. -

I started punching codes the first day I got the game. The first 6k I got from the invite forum (and people's comments). Then I used TWDB, then the spreadsheet, then back to TWDB. Considering how many times I repunched codes early on, I figure I've typed a good 60,000. I don't time myself & I watch tv while I punch. All codes typed from phone... Perseverance!!

Good advice I do this 😺

I can see the keyboard being useful in your case since you are new and have a shitload of codes to catch up with. I'd start with the newer codes and work back in time. Definitely add the temp codes daily.
The code sites are all pretty good and depending on your tastes you should find one and stick with it so you don't repeat punch the same codes. -
I punched several websites on my phone looking at my laptop. I started back in November to give you a time frame. My tip would be start with twdb first. If you are on iPad there are some sites you can cut and paste on. That did not help me much. Some have told me this works with their iPads. I just 👊👊👊.
Punching sucks but once you punch all twdb it is only a few a day. Not so bad.

You get about 8k mob if you do a code site, then all you have to look forward to is 10/15 new codes and 20/30 temps per day.. 😒
