Need High School Advice

When I was in high school the Internet was unknown. We had IBM 386 PCs with 1.44 MB floppy drives. Yes, people used to store invaluable data on 3.5 'floppy' disks.
Anywho.. High School is a formative period. How you handle it, will, in some way, affect the rest of your life.
My advice is to do what comes naturally. Don't try to be something you're not. Even if the 'world' thinks you should be ____.
The 'world' is wrong. Being yourself is more valuable. Being popular in high school doesn't mean squat.. If you are 'popular', cool. But don't try to become 'popular'. It's truly not worth it.
Just be yourself.

Ahh I remember highschool, drugs, alcohol, occasional violence. All fun things. It will put hair on you chest, you'll be alright👍
-
Just remember screw popularity. Make 2 or 3 really good friends. The others don't matter and won't be there for you when needed. Do your f***ing homework and summer work. Get involved in extra curriculars. go to as many of the dances and all the such as you can. And girlfriends are fun but you don't want to be a dad at that age. As for "enemies" and what not don't take it from anyone. Just my 2 cents
Oh P.S. Keep punching 👊👊👊, have fune, and have no regrets. -
*fun

When I was in high school PCs were unknown :). Come to think of it calculators were unknown as well. Even back then the secrets to success were the same. Work hard to get good grades and try to go above and beyond in something that interests you (I was photographer for the school paper, then later on the editor...gets you out of a lot of classes your senior year.) Oh, and stand up for yourself but pick your battles carefully. As others have mentioned, unless you plan on living where you grew up forever you just won't have many future dealings with your high school friends, so what seems important in high school likely won't be even a hazy memory in later years.

I disagree. You spend to much time trying to please everyone you loose track of who you are. Just be yourself and a few will love you (be true friends). You're never going to see most of these people again who cares what they think? Be yourself and the people you actually connect with will come out of the crowd.Try to be nice to everyone, it is better to be liked by all then loved by few.

Taking AP human geography. Each student got a different country. I have to do a project on how their geography affects their current events.Just wondering, why do you need info on Vientnam.
Ex: conflict with China. Their proximity has to do with geography. And the proximity has to do with the conflict.

No... Considering I havnt done homework in 3 year an AP project is a little mind blowing. Hopefully I'll adjust to actually having to work before school starts....Peepers wrote:
