So th average price in metro area is $1.40 a liter.
But when i fueled up in a small country town. It was $1.63 a liter. Fuck that. -
Yeah, it's $1.38 in Melbourne, but I think Europe is in the worst situation... I'm suprised they can afford to drive anywhere.
-
US still has the cheapest gas price, try Canada or Europe.
-
If people don't bitch about gas it's always another thing.
-
We pay 3.78gal. We think that's to much
-
What do u mean by tht turfwarsplayer

More refineries, lower taxes, and open up more areas to domestic production (assuming your country has oil reserves). Otherwise get the bike off the rack and get to pedaling.
-
Just think if half the US stops driving and starts walking, biking, using mass transit and driving expensive electric cars, what an amazing change that would produce......the other half of the people could have cheap gas again. To all those who choose to quit driving I say thank you from the bottom of my wallet.

There is plenty of oil. Prices are artificially raised per region and neighborhood. We are the ones being farmed daily.More refineries, lower taxes, and open up more areas to domestic production (assuming your country has oil reserves). Otherwise get the bike off the rack and get to pedaling.
Alternative energies should be invested in. It is strange the government still subsidizes oil companies. We have been for a hundred years. They are making more than they ever have now. We should subsidize new energy sources instead so we are not so dependent on one resource. Not healthy and not in our best interest to continue this. I do know that oil business has an incredible grip on our society. This makes it unpopular to even think about taking ventures into new technologies. However, new options allow for new opportunities. Opportunities are what is needed in these times.

Taxes are lower than they have been in about 40 years. It is just that the tax savings went to people who needed them the least.

There is plenty of oil. Next time you're somewhere where they have pumps take a look more than 75% aren't pumping.(I'm talking about brand new pumps, not old worn down unusable pumps.) plus the companies keep drilling wells instead of turning on pumps. WTF is up with that? We'd have lower prices if the supply was exceeding the demand more.More refineries, lower taxes, and open up more areas to domestic production (assuming your country has oil reserves). My van used to cost about £60 to fill with about 80 litres of deisel. Now it costs me £110. Fuel tank is the same size and that is over a period of about 6 years. £1.45p per litre at our local garage

I am currently in Greece where petrol is €1.80 per litre, this has got to be the most expensive I have seen, more than UK prices where I thought we were being shafted, the Greek government has doubled the tax on petrol and alcohol in last 18 months due to their financial position

You live in Greece!??! The government in that place is in MILLIONS of debt. There aren't even that many people living there. They depend soley on trade, and now that they have a shitty income, nobody trades with them.
