It actually sounds about right based on what I know about current Exchange rate. The pound has recently gone down again.

Well according to current rate it should be £24.80.

17% price increase is a bit steep, would be nice if wages increased by this amount, don't think I will be buying so many now

Apple recently updated their prices in several international stores (see http://www.macworld.co.uk/digitallifestyle/news/index.cfm?newsid=3291307&pagtype=allchandate). As a result, UK prices have gone up on most pricing levels, while countries like Australia and Switzerland are seeing a price drop.
However, prices on the website use the latest exchange rates, and have not changed lately.
