Just a little FYI aparently Netflix upped their prices but didn't warn people in advance. You may want to check your bill.

How much?
-
Not sure. I just know my moms pissed. She's probably just being dramatic though.
-
Tek just told me the same thing.
-
My dad was too he said the price doubled we had one DVD and online streaming plan
-
For the states?
-
Hmm.... Glad i don't use Netflix then :) seriously what's so bad about cable? I can just watch anything on the Internet anyway...
-
I received an email stating changes won't be until September.
-
It's f-up, unlimited stream and DVDs was 9.99 per month and now it's being devided into two plans, unlim DVDs 7.99, unlim streaming 7.99, but it don't start until September

Just got the email. Was paying 14.99 and now will go up to 19.99...changed my service to streaming only for 7.99 since I use redbox for rentals anyway. More money for TW.
-
Yeah def switching back to streaming only. Thank goodness for redbox

I'm gonna call them and play the "I've been a loyal consistent member since early 2005," card. seriously. 75 months at $19.95.

It's really not that bad yeah it's going up but I can still have two DVDs unlimited and streaming for less than the cost of one blue ray. I'm not surprised all things go up in price sucks but that's just life

Netflix have a lot of deals with the studios that are expiring this year and next. These deals were signed when Netflix was still new and no one thought it would be hugely popular. So, the movie studios are jacking up the prices for streaming. It actually costs netflix more money to stream you a movie than to manage DVD inventory thanks to them. Now that these contracts have to be renewed, they are asking for an arm and a leg.
-
I just stream anyway. Screw em.
-
I don't think they have a choice. They can't put any movie or TV show on their website free of charge. This isn't cheap...
-
Crap mine is already 19.99, but I'll stick with them, still 1/3 of what our cable or satellite would be and it's all we use

No matter what plan u have if beats cable hands down. After 3 months of Netflix, we cut cable bc we literally never used it. We hate commercials. With a dvr u still gotta fast forward and the hard drive is perpetually full. Screw comcast. Go Netflix.

The only downside to that is you have to wait until a recent season of a television show is available for streaming/DVD to catch up.No matter what plan u have if beats cable hands down. The new prices are still cheaper than the original price plans which only came with three DVDs at a time. I think I paid $21 for that plan.
