  game of thrones (great books), the wire, true blood, dexter, sopranos, weeds, the tudors, big love, 6 feet under, the daily show, southpark, the twilight zone (original series in b&w - pure nostalgia), and the ricky gervais show (the podcasts that the hbo series are based on make me lol until I cry!).

  fave one of all is definitely the sopranos, which I started rewatching again 2 weeks ago.

  pretty clear i only watch pay tv except for satire on comedy central.

  bill o'reilly once remarked on a study claiming that conservatives prefer feel-good "optimistic" shows, whereas those on the left prefer shows that are darker with more "troubled" or complex characters.

  seems that my list is reflective of that.

  Dead like me - can't believe it got cancelled :( Buffy was also fantastic, as are Criminal Minds, CSI, House, Firefly, NCIS, Weeds and I'm really into The Big C too :)

  Cparica IMO was boring, the first ep was filled with such promise but then zzzzz so boring.
  Battle star did much the same, started really strong but by season 2 half to the end they seemed all out of ideas the occupation was a clear polical statement about Iraq at the time whilst being to scared to just come out and say it. I was very disapointed in the way it just got worse and worse then ended

  Sopranos I enjoyed but it was screened so poorly in the UK, never the same time slot, late, missing for weeks. That quite frankly it was hard to follow.
  Yeah I love futurama too.
  I lost interest in 6 feet under, prob cause that was screened poorly too.
  Did anyone like fringe? Reminds me, in season one at least of the x files
