So I learned how to surf today and I'm thinking about getting a long board. Does anyone here know how much a used one should cost and any other info I need to know?

To get to where you can buy them you have to ask the MAP. After it will sing a stupid song and tell you to go through the woods and over a river. That's all you should need to know. 👍So I learned how to surf today and I'm thinking about getting a long board. Woods! River! Bridge! We did it, we did it, we did it, hooray, we went to the woods, crossed the river on the bridge, we did it, we did it, hooray!

Ignore these chuckle heads. Where are you surfing, what conditions, how long are you gonna be in thisboard before you will be able to afford another/newer one?

I recommend buying a used board if you just started. They are much more affordable and you won't mind as much when you ding it.

👆agree 100%. Depending on conditions you may want to consider a slug. Poor menuverability but will float on a wriple.

Used boards range in quality. Anywhere from 150 and up. I'd spend a lil extra so you avoid getting a piece of shit. But they can be inexpensive

Coast of Charleston, if that means anything to you. I have a friend offering me a paddle board for $350. Is that a good deal and is it the same thing as a long board?

Not super big waves

No a paddle board is not a surf board. You def want a long board if the waves aren't that big. Go used & 300 - 400 range is a safe initial investment. You may get sick of it in 3 months. Doubt it but it is possible.
